	Shutter Snap Studios offers a variety of services including portraits, events, weddings, and commercial photography in the San Antonio area. Portraits If you are interested in having portraits done by Shutter Snap Studios there are a few things to consider. First of all, we love to shoot on location and will gladly travel anywhere within 30 miles of San Antonio for no additional travel fee. We also have a long list of places we enjoy photographing that we can recommend to you. Photos of most locations are available if you would like to get an idea of what a particular location has to offer. We also are comfortable with shooting in your home, backyard, or anywhere that has a special personal attachment for you. The most important thing to us is that you are comfortable with the location and are excited about it. The more comfortable and excited you are the better the photos will be! If you are interested in a more typical portrait setting we also can work with you to create such, please contact us to discuss it further. Another important consideration when it comes to portraits is how much time to allot and when the ideal time for photography is. We typically do not like to be in a rush and will take quite a few photos during the session. We are all digital so running out of film is not an issue, and we definitely use this to our advantage! We prefer to shoot in the evening, starting about an hour and a half before sunset. It is not unusual for a portrait session to run to two, or even three hours. This is especially true when it comes to photographing small children, babies, or bridal and engagement portraits. While we definitely prefer to shoot during the "golden hour" we are more than willing to work around your schedule and we can adapt to virtually any situation. What a person (or family) wears for a portrait is very important. The optimal clothing choice is also very dependent on the style of the portrait (ie: black and white, on location, in a studio setting, etc). There are many options available to you as a Shutter Snap Studios customer when it comes to ordering your actual portraits. You can expect that for any shoot we will show you a broad array of images captured that day with a variety of presentations including black and white, sepia, etc. Also, if you would like to see a particular image in a format we did not show you in the proofs we are happy to do the conversion at no additional charge. Also, basic color correction, exposure and contrast adjustment is standard for all photos. All photos that are printed are also retouched for any fly-away hairs, minor blemishes etc. If you have any questions about the actual specific steps we take to edit a photo, feel free to ask! We can also have your images printed many different ways. From fine art watercolor paper to gallery wrapped canvas, we can always provide exactly what you are looking for. Finally, one thing to keep in mind about location portraits is that some locations have a fee associated with them. One example of this is the San Antonio Missions. Effective June 15th, 2006 they now charge $100 for "commercial still photography" which includes portraits. If you choose to have portraits at a location which has fees associated with it you will be responsible for paying the fee but Shutter Snap Studios will be more than happy to handle any permit applications or other paperwork that needs to be taken care of. Events No matter what your event need we can handle it. In the past we have covered birthdays, graduation parties, confirmations, casino nights, anniversaries, Quinceaneras and more. We cover the event in a photojournalistic fashion and try to remain as un-intrusive as possible. We strive to capture spontaneous moments of interaction between the guests of your event as well as any important moments, speeches, toasts, gift presentations etc. that will occur. Also, at the event we have cards available with information about where the photos from the event can be viewed and ordered. We guarantee that photos will be online in a password protected gallery for your guests to view and order within 5 days of the event. Also, you will automatically receive a free DVD with web sized images from the event to e-mail to your friends and family. Your wedding is a time when a lot of people come together; we believe that it's vital to capture as many wonderful images of your special day and the special people in it as possible. We recognize how important your day is to you and will do everything we can to enhance the experience, rather than detract from it. We are working on building our wedding portfolio currently and are offering a heavy discount on our wedding photography. We believe it is vital to good coverage that a bride and groom get to know their photographer a bit before the big day. Commercial To date, our commercial work has largely been limited to micro-stock product style photography and food photography. However, we have become disenchanted with micro-stock and would like to start having real business relationships with the people who utilize our pictures. It is our opinion that through real communication between us and our customers we can increase customer satisfaction and provide a higher quality product.
