About Us

     Shutter Snap Studios is a collaboration between my wife Joanna and myself, Nathan Kerr. I've been practicing photography in some way or another for the past 11 years but I have been doing it professionally for 3 years now via Shutter Snap Studios. In that time I've done portraits, wedding work, shot for stock, and photographed a fair number of events whether for a private client or a small magazine I used to do work for. I've also acquired a wide array of professional Canon digital equipment, and possibly more importantly, a large collection of lighting equipment which I use for virtually everything. I shoot exclusively digital and love it for the control, quality, and immediacy of results it provides me.

     At Shutter Snap Studios, I am the creative side of the equation: I do the majority of the photography, all of the image editing, and most of the collaboration with the customer to help them realize their personal vision for the shoot or event. Joanna is the perfect partner to me, she is wickedly organized, a great assistant, 2nd photographer, and adviser. One of the best things about dealing with us is that any time you contact us, whether it is to discuss an upcoming shoot or just have questions about our services you will be dealing directly with either me or Joanna. When we show up at your wedding, event etc. you will not have the nasty surprise of finding out the person you booked with is not actually your photographer because it's always going to be us!
